" What you do for the least of my brethren you do for
me."
The MIR center of Arizona's PROJECT
LOVE
began in September of 1992, when a
small group of pilgrims visited the devastated
village of Mljkovici about six miles from
Medjugorje.  We promised to return with
blankets, clothes and funds to rebuild their
homes.  Since then,
PROJECT LOVE has
delivered your donations of over $300,000,
tons of blankets, clothes, toys, school
supplies, hospital equipment, drugs and
medicines, and lots and lots of
LOVE and
PRAYERS!
 We consult with Franciscans and
doctors in Croatia and Herzegovina to
insure that we are bringing only what is
specifically needed.  Although we have
shipped some equipment by freight, most
of the humanitarian aid is being
hand-delivered by pilgrims.  In this way
we can personally tell the war victims
that the Americans DO care about them
and, most of all, that we love them, thus
giving them encouragement and strength
to go on.
 We have done
our best to be
good steward of
this money by
distributing it
carefully and
directly into the
hands of the
needy.  here are
no administrative
costs-all pilgrims
pay their own
expenses.
 With the guidance and
protection of our dear Lord
and our most Holy Mother,
we have made more than
fifteen humanitarian aid
missions.
PROJECT
LOVE
has aided hospitals
and clinics, churches,
monasteries and convents,
orphanages, refugee camps,
rural villages, and families of
soldiers killed in action.
It is a great joy to
be able to help these
innocent war victims
in their material
needs.  We wish that
we can simply heal
the pain in their
hearts.  For this we
rely on prayer and
ask you, too, to pray
for the healing of all
those suffering at the
hand of others.
 We offer
our prayers
for those
who have
so
generously
supported
us with
donations -
you are
truly the
"LOVE"
in
PROJECT
LOVE!
